Building the Bangladesh Trade Portal e-learning platform, together with its stakeholders. TRACE held its SRS Validation Workshop for SD-59 package under the World Bank-financed Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project-1 (BRCP-1) of the Ministry of Commerce.
On October 6th, 2026, we held the SRS Validation Workshop. It brought the Software Requirements Specification for the platform in front of the people who will rely on it. The aim was to confirm that the system's requirements reflect real needs before development begins.
The session brought together a wide group of institutions:
1. Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission, Export Promotion Bureau, Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute, and the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (CCI&E).
2. Ministry of Commerce (including the FTA Wing, ICT Cell, and WTO Wing), Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Industries.
3. ICT Division
4. Bangladesh Land Port Authority
5. Regulatory and technical bodies: Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, and Directorate General of Drug Administration
6. Department of Livestock Services and Department of Fisheries
7. Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI)
8. BRCP-1 Project Team, Ministry of Commerce, and BRCP-1 DMC
Representatives from the stakeholders gave feedback on key areas, including system user roles, platform features, content structure, etc. OrangeBD, the lead firm, and TRACE (sub-consultant) presented the SRS and took part directly to capture this input.
