Laboratory Improvement Ongoing

Securing International PT Participation and Compliance for PRTC

Client: Poultry Research & Training Centre (PRTC)

Project Overview

The Poultry Research & Training Centre (PRTC) Laboratory at the Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) pursued strengthening its quality management systems and maintaining ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation. A core requirement of this standard is periodic participation in Proficiency Testing (PT) programs to validate technical competence and analytical reliability against international benchmarks.

TRACE Consulting facilitated PRTC’s enrollment in the PT program offered by KIMIA, Malaysia, a national agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI). As an ISO/IEC 17043 accredited PT provider, this institution offers advanced infrastructure and rigorous quality management. Participating in this internationally recognized, government-backed program provided PRTC with high-level analytical exposure and global peer comparisons, directly enhancing its readiness for Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) assessment.

By connecting PRTC with KIMIA Malaysia, TRACE Consulting provided comprehensive, end-to-end sample sourcing and coordination support, ensuring the laboratory met its stringent compliance objectives.
