Overview
TRACE designs and executes comprehensive strategies to modernize laboratory infrastructure and strengthen quality management frameworks. We navigate the complex web of global regulatory requirements, including ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 15189, to ensure public and private laboratories achieve strict compliance and global acceptance.
TRACE's experts have strategically modernized Bangladesh’s quality infrastructure, delivering end-to-end accreditation support and capacity upgrades that elevate the testing, validation, digital automation, and operational capabilities of dozens of public and private laboratories. Key strategic milestones include facilitating ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for 12 major laboratories (including regional BSTI facilities, BAEC, CDIL, Akij, and PRAN); deploying 7 automated Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to digitize workflows; and fully operationalizing the National Halal Laboratory. Additional standardization efforts include the development of the BFSA Online Lab Information Repository, which contains accreditation status, testing capabilities, and parameters for 47 laboratories, as well as ISO 17043 proficiency testing enablement for reference institutions such as BRiCM, INARS-BCSIR, and Intertek.
