Naved Afnan is a research intern at TRACE Consulting and an economics undergraduate at East West University. He brings hands-on experience across field settings, socio-economic research, and data analysis. His expertise spans primary field survey design, quantitative data collection, and translating complex field findings into clear, actionable policy and strategic insights.
Prior to joining TRACE, Naved built practical research experience across academic and community-level initiatives. In field collaborations, he led primary data collection across 35 coastal shop operators alongside Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque (DG of BIDS) to evaluate microcredit access and livelihood diversification, co-authored an urban safety assessment for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) linking youth unemployment to community risks, and contributed to framework development for low-income women's economic empowerment.
His research interests focus on socio-economic policy, urban and development economics, public finance, and trade dynamics. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Canva, and AI prompting. He combines quantitative rigor with technology-enabled workflows.
