About Md. Mahamudul Hasan

Md. Mahamudul Hasan is a research intern at TRACE Consulting, with experience in social research, data analysis, and evidence-based policy work in Bangladesh. His expertise spans survey and questionnaire design, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and turning findings into clear, usable insights. He holds a B.S.S. in Economics from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

Prior to joining TRACE, Mahamudul built hands-on research experience across academic, consultancy, and field settings. He worked as a research intern at Datascape Research & Consultancy and as a research assistant at BUP, supporting literature reviews, data analysis, research reports, and project coordination. He also served as a data enumerator on studies covering the economic impact of COVID-19 fiscal stimulus, commuter satisfaction with Dhaka Metro Rail, and a discrete choice experiment on nurses' job preferences.

His research interests include digital finance, remittances, public transport, Islamic banking, and technology adoption. He has presented at international conferences on mobile-wallet remittance adoption, AI adoption and critical thinking among university students, and digital education in Bangladesh. He is also a published author on informal language learning among Bangladeshi youth.

Mahamudul is skilled in Stata, SPSS, SmartPLS, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, NVivo, and KoboToolBox. He has held leadership roles in the BUP Economics Club, BUP Research Society, and BUP Islamic Studies and is a champion of the Hult Challenge 1.0 and the BUP Career Edge competition.
