Tanjum Tushi

Tanjum Tushi is working remotely as a research associate for TRACE Consulting. In this role, she supports the firm's research and analytical workstreams across multiple ongoing engagements. Her contributions include conducting literature reviews and secondary data analysis for donor-funded assignments tied to institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, and UNDP; drafting and refining policy briefs, technical notes, and background papers; assisting with the preparation of proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and technical documentation for international procurement processes; supporting cross-ministry and multi-stakeholder research on trade and governance issues; and helping distill complex quantitative and qualitative findings into clear, decision-ready reports for government agencies, development partners, and private-sector clients. Her sociological training and field research background make her particularly well-suited to work that bridges hard policy analysis with on-the-ground social and institutional dynamics.

She is a research professional with experience spanning governance, trade facilitation, and social development. She worked as a research associate at Land O'Lakes Venture37, where she supported government and private stakeholders in improving automated trade services under the Bangladesh Trade Facilitation Project work that involved close engagement with customs and trade agencies to identify bottlenecks in service delivery and recommend process improvements. Previously, she worked with Transparency International Bangladesh, conducting field research and data analysis on public sector spending, contributing to the organization's broader anti-corruption and public accountability agenda. She also contributed to UNDP's REVIVE project, which supported Cottage, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (CMSMEs) in strengthening their resilience and recovery capacity.

Tushi holds her bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology from the University of Dhaka, giving her a strong grounding in social research methodology alongside her technical policy work. She is skilled in data analysis, SPSS, ICT tools, and report writing and brings a research-driven, evidence-based approach to every engagement. She is passionate about using research to drive policy reform and sustainable development and is motivated by work that translates rigorous analysis into practical, real-world impact for communities and institutions alike.
