TRACE provides evidence-based policy and regulatory advisory services that help governments strengthen governance, improve competitiveness, modernize regulatory systems, and deliver sustainable reforms. We partner with public institutions, development partners, the private sector, and civil society to identify policy gaps, modernize legislation, simplify regulations, support HS code classification and SROs amendments, and align national frameworks with international standards and global commitments.

Our multidisciplinary approach combines policy research, legal and regulatory analysis, stakeholder engagement, and implementation experience to transform policy recommendations into practical, results-oriented reforms. From legislative drafting and regulatory impact assessments to public–private dialogue and institutional strengthening, TRACE supports informed decision-making that enhances transparency, accountability, and long-term economic development.

TRACE brings together experts with extensive experience leading large-scale national trade facilitation and regulatory reform initiatives in Bangladesh. Collectively, they have contributed to the development, amendment, and implementation of more than 30 policy and regulatory reforms for various Government of Bangladesh agencies. Key reforms include the upcoming Import Policy Order (2026–2029), the draft Electronic Trade Facilitation Act (e-TFA), Customs Inspection and Sample Management Rules, Risk Management Rules for SPS agencies, the Electronic Governance of Safe Food Import Regulations, the Veterinary Drug Act, the Animal and Animal Products Inspection and Quality Control Act, and amendments to key plant, animal, and fisheries quarantine laws and regulations.

By combining international best practices with local implementation expertise, TRACE develops practical policy solutions that improve the business environment, strengthen regulatory institutions, and support evidence-based governance.
