Social Media Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute TRACE's overall social media and digital content strategy across LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Set content calendars, campaign themes, and posting schedules aligned with TRACE's business goals and project milestones.
  • Identify opportunities to grow TRACE's visibility among government, donor, and private-sector audiences.
  • Direct and coordinate the work of the Graphics Designer and Video Editor, ensuring content aligns with strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Review and approve content before publication, maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Write and edit copy for posts, captions, and campaigns in TRACE's voice.
  • Track and report on social media performance, reach, engagement, follower growth, and adjust strategy based on data.
  • Conduct periodic competitor and industry benchmarking to identify best practices.
  • Recommend and test new content formats or channels to improve visibility and engagement.
  • Coordinate with project and business development teams to source and translate project updates, achievements, and expertise into shareable content.
  • Support internal stakeholders with occasional communications needs, such as event promotion, recruitment posts, and thought-leadership pieces.
  • Represent TRACE's brand voice consistently across all public-facing channels.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media studies, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, with demonstrated success growing a brand's online presence.
  • Strong writing and content strategy skills, with a portfolio of managed channels or campaigns.
  • Experience using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar).
  • Basic proficiency in design or video tools (e.g., Canva) to support quick-turnaround content.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating creative team members or freelancers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
  • Experience managing social media for a consulting, development, or policy-research organization.
  • Experience with paid social campaigns and advertising.
  • Familiarity with SEO and website content strategy.
  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) responsibly to support content ideation, drafting, and scheduling, with appropriate human review.
